Introduction to ATVs

ATVs or four wheelers have increased in popularity over the past decade. They're fun and easy to operate and allow you to explore more areas then you would on foot. These four-wheeled motorized vehicles are designed to operate exclusively on off-road terrain, primarily for one rider. ATVs are powered by gasoline engines and equipped with low-pressure tires, handlebars for steering, and a saddle seat that puts you in complete control. 

Most ATVs come best suited for some of the most basic terrains you’ll probably encounter, including dry or wet terrain, dirt and fairly compact grounds, and even rockier terrain. However, there are upgrades you can make to your quad to make it more personalized if you don’t think the basics are going to be enough. For example, some people spend most of their time ATVing on sandy terrain. The basic features will work, but you might want to upgrade to tires that are better suited for sandy terrain and look for a model that’s more lightweight so it won’t get bogged down. In this way, your ATV can be one of the most versatile vehicles you’ll ever own.
